Wow! 10 times over subscribed. I guess because 4 rooms are too little. Surprisingly, there are so many keen takers. But i guessed this should be a good place for nature lover, away from the busy street. |

SINGAPORE: The Housing and Development Board’s (HDB’s) latest Build—To—Order (BTO) project in Sengkang has attracted almost thrice the number of applicants compared to units available.
Fernvale Crest has a total of 1,992 applications versus 700 units available.
Fernvale Crest has, by far, the most number of small flats in a BTO development.
Its two—room flats were the least popular, with 169 applications versus 140 units available, but they were nevertheless fully subscribed.
The four—room flats were nearly ten times oversubscribed, with 1,149 applications versus 188 units available.
A two—room flat costs S$74,000 to S$98,000, while a three—room flat costs S$116,000 to S$157,000, and a four—room flat costs up to S$250,000. |

Only good is high storey, likely unblock view if u choose the 450A units facing north east, but those who know little abt fengshui will not really like that 2 4-room units. From the site plan, can see blk 447A & B below, should be another BTO cos not in SLA map yet, the strange part is from the overall map, it is supposed to be a proposed chinese temple and civic/community institution there. Will give this a pass even if i am desperate for a flat now. |
Think 447A & B belongs to Fernvale Lodge (previously indicated in SLA map in beginning 2009 but later removed) |
This evening passby Jln Kayu, saw 3 pole stick in the field beside Fernvale Crest...also a couple of land surveyor there checking
think HDB going launch Fernvale Lodge soon as indicated earlier in SLA map |

With more than 5 contracts under constructions around Fernvale LRT how not to have foreign workers loitering around. Many could be main contractor's workers are sleeping in the quarters provided at the construction sites and others belonging to sub-contractors would be waiting for transportation back to their dorms at end of day's work.
They are as harmless as the residents living around the neighbourhood. |
Yalor,is just matter of time, those workers once completed nearby contruction, sooner or later ,they have to leave ....We shall b thankful for their hardship instead..Without them, there wont b a place call"home" ,agree?
I had some Bangadesh workers whom i knew, they r very friendly n helpful than so called"Sporeans"! Ooops, I m Sporean btw.
