Since we are at Sengkang, Jalan Kayu? There is a shop house just selling different kind of otak. Standard higher then usual but not that fantastic, if not, i will be craving for it everyday.

is it the one sold by the man in wheel chair? My mother-in-law says it's too saltish, but I always buy from him if I go there to buy food.

Have you or anyone you know have any knowledge about an old uncle selling Otah2 & Nasi Lemak in the 1950's to 1990's, at a coffee shop at Idris Road/Lavender Street, same place where Fatty Fried Kway Teow was? Or an old lady selling the same at a corner stall at Blk 29 Bendemeer Rd Hawker Centre before it was upgraded?
Or, a teenager selling the same at Blk 5 Petaling Road Hawker Centre?

If yes, ask them how was the standard of that authentic Otah2 then. Nod

Have to ask parents about that.

I only know that the Otak nowadays taste different from what I had when I was young. Even the illegal hawker uncle's otak below my flat at Bukit Merah in the 80s also taste better then what I can get now anywhere.

Yes, Jalan Kayu shop supplies to man in wheel chair.

Howerver, there's a price difference ..

Jalan Kayu - $5.00 for 10 sticks
Man in wheelchair - $5.00 for 11 sticks
