be careful of these contractors.. don't be obligated to take their package. cos that time when i came visiting my new flat.. they also psycho me but i manage to get another contractor which offers better. can ask them to let u see the flats that they had done though.. get some ideas here and there.. my contractor not bad

Really?
Wow!
Oh yes, those ID salesmen/co-ordinator on site?
These are how to "get rid" of them.
1. From far they would've spotted you, so did you, them.
2. Avoid eye contact at the very first instance.
3. If approached, tell them you have already engaged ID, OR,
4. You are just curious and looking around at the new flats.
5. Be courteous to them and said Thank you while walking away.

It always worked. Nod

Another suggestion to get rid of them fast is probably tell them that your hubby or urself is a contractor. so no need for their service.

That should work faster huh!!!! kekekeke Very Happy

Haha.. I guess nobody like me lah huh.. actu I was being approached by one of these ID lah then after showing hubby and me one round of flats.. we were really tempted to sign him up. Then when the date got nearer for us to collect keys, we actually called him up again as I had to bring my MIL along to show her the designs of the flats around my precint. Then after two long rounds of showing and questions asking.. I didnt sign up with him.. kakaka.. Very Happy

Up to individual...
But for me I will not choose packages, bec u might not want to do certain things that is in the package. then u want to change to other things, then end up it's abt the same price as not getting a package one.
So I will just told my ID what i want and they will give me the quotation.
So far most of ideal come from my research and the reno magazine I borrow from the library. (I don't buy any magazine bec I think its waste of $$$$) :P

If you only sign up basic packages such as aircon, false ceilings, pipings and etc is ok but hidden costs will only come in when you increase your demands, e.g. length of pipe, extensions of your carpentry work, lightings and accesories.. I did all in all for less than $20K, the package I signed was $9888 though. Give your ID a budget and ask him to include all charges inside. They will definitely give you a best price but of course.. sometimes bluff him in saying some other ID quote you a bit lesser than try bargain.. kaka.. Very Happy
