HDB/TCs should take a feather from LTA about not allowing pasting of stickers (advertisements) along walkways, linkways and bus-stops.

It shows LTA knows and can do things where HDB/TCs can't!

Actually, I am quite irritated by the property agents' flyers as well. There is 1 particular lady's advertisement that appear very regularly at my gate AND letterbox for the past 1 year at least (sometimes I get a new one every week). Now it's become a guy's. But all from the same property company. Plus they're using cardboard paper. 2 per unit X 16 floors with 8 units each X donno how many blocks in our neighbourhood. Imagine the amount of damage these people are doing to the environment... Sad

Agree with Kai&Hian. Had written many times to TCs but they seems unable to come up with some measures like what LTA had did to those stickers pasted all over the linkways, bus-stops and lamp-posts. Hopefully, something similar suffice to deal with this littering at the door-step. Smile

The latest I have feedback to is BCA's Outdoor Advertisement Licensing Guidelines........enquring whether these menaces of marketing flyers came under the "Prohibited Signs".

http://www.bca.gov.sg/Advertisement/A..._for_licence.html

Prohibited Signs
The following signs are prohibited for locations both within and outside the Central Area:

a. Signboards and advertisement signs which are illuminated by means of flickering, flashing and running lights except along Orchard Road, Bras Basah/Bugis and Chinatown (New Bridge Road / Eu Tong Sen Street) Please refer to URA website at http://www.ura.gov.sg under circular No. URA/PB/2003/23-CUDD for the boundary of these areas.
b. Advertisement signs on free standing structures promoting any brands, products, goods or services.
c. Advertisement signs on buildings above the roof or roof parapet level.
d. Advertisement signs on public infrastructure and their ancillary structures e.g, entrance & exit structures to Rapid Transit System stations and underpasses, MRT viaduct columns, and kiosks.
e. Advertisement signs on residential buildings and residential component of mixed-use buildings.
f. Advertisement signs located within or in the vicinity of the boundary of airports and airbases.
g. Advertisement signs located over or within any public streets, which include expressways, flyovers, bridges, railings, central median dividers, traffic islands; and on trees or bushes.
h. Advertisements within water catchment areas, public open spaces, nature reserves, waterbodies, along coastlines; and on vacant land.

Para "g" above was implemented sometime back. After enforcement, the areas mentioned are now very tidy and neat.

But, why "e" is not enforced? Cannot be enforced or what? Sly

Can someone help to ban the use of stereo system for the line dancing event at Punggol Aspella RC????? Scold

Every other weekend from 6.30pm to 10pm+, there would be such line dancing event at the pavillion which the stereo system volume is turned up way too much and it is super disturbing for all the residents living in this area. Mad

Weekend is the only time for working people like me to rest at home and with that loud horrid noise, it is making it impossible to even watch television!

The number of participants for the line dancing is not that massive that require the need to use the stereo system. Please spare us from the agony of the noise pollution and loud screaming from the group. Furious

We wish to share with you that the mentioned insect in the photo is a Squash bug, it sucks sap from the leaves of plants. These are a pest to plants by nature and is not harmful to humans. Please be also informed that we have since arrange our pest control to carry out spraying during their routine inspection.

Should you have any Landscape Maintenance feedback you can contact me at DID 65909536.

Thank you

Yours Sincerely
