None, no favourite.

Each has got their good points.

Freshness? Going to the wet market at 6:00am, you can get the freshest seafood, including whole fishhead.

Value for money?
Depends on distant related travel.

Jasons

Variety of european selections

Isetan Scotts Supermarket & Meidi-Ya

Fresh Wagyu Beefs!

NTUC Finest

Their fishes and vegs are very fresh and the vegs can keep up to a week without yellowing!

Cold Storage (sister brand of Jasons)

Convenience in heartlands when Jasons are not available Smile

I dislike Giant the most...

If SK has a good wet market, that will be my first choice. I love the smell of sea fresh fishes and poke them kekeke

NTUC for groceries cos I am NTUC member - can get linkpoints and rebates etc. Cold Storage for fresh vegs, fruits and meat, cos theirs are the freshest among all supermakets, that is if you are not comparing supermarket with wet markets.

I have no preference on supermarket. Depending on what I am buying, I will go Ang Mo/Sheng Shiong/Giant/Cold Storage for certain items. NTUC is more like for convenient purpose rather than because its cheap. I can easily find some items at Giant/Ang Mo cheaper than NTUC.

Ntuc is not the cheapest of all but is definitely cheaper than Shop N Save, Cold Storage. But I think Ntuc have the most branches & easily available, seem like an household brand.

I think Sheng Siong is 1 of the cheapest & wide varieties but always very packed.

The problem with NTUC Fairprice is they have limited variety of brands available, and tends to promote their own brand. Cold Storage/Giant/Carrfour have more variety to choose, and Giant do have cheaper brands unlike Cold Storage. Seng Siong is like a wet market-place supermarket with items all over the place in a disorganised manner.(maybe is the one I go to at Bedok Res rd).

I been to Bukit Panjang Sheng Siong, its much bigger than loyang. More varieties & more organised.

But ntuc link points dont earn really much rebates from what i see.

A pity Carefour, Giant not really near to most of us, if not i guess they will be a more poupular choice.
